3 weeks before our 10th year wedding anniversary, I was already on the edge of my seat looking and searching for a place where Chuck & I could celebrate. I scoured the net and called some hotels and restaurants. As I was cleaning-up my e-mail inbox, I came across an e-mail that I forwarded to myself about a year ago. It was a deal from a travel agency. All the while I did my best to be stealthy since I wanted it to be a surprise for my husband.
They were offering a Manila Bay Dinner Cruise by Sun Cruises. The package also included a romantic serenade on board the M/V Spirit of Manila which docks beside the Jumbo Palace Floating Restaurant at the back of CCP Complex. This promo got me really excited since a dinner cruise such as this would be a first for the both of us. I phoned the travel agency to inquire more and to my pleasant surprise the whole package was priced at only Php550nett per person! Needless to say, I placed a reservation immediately for the 6:15pm schedule.
Oh! By the way, there are 3 schedules to choose from: 4:30pm, 6:15pm and 8:00pm. I recommend taking the 6:15pm schedule to be able to enjoy the romantic sunset by the bay.
A week before our scheduled anniversary cruise, I got in touch with the travel agency again. I asked if they could come up with a little “extra” something which would help add more flair to their standard set-up. Jen, who works for the travel agency, and has been my coordinator all throughout the planning of this cruise, e-mailed me their proposal:
In addition to that, some requested songs were to be performed by an acoustic duo… all for a very reasonable price. Hmmm…not bad, I thought to myself! I had everything arranged by the travel agency and deposited the required amount thru the bank. If anyone of you is interested with the special package, let me know so I can give you the details of the additional cost. 
To tease the husband a little, I prepared some images taken from the dinner cruise poster which I sent via Twitpic on Twitter on the day of our anniversary (March 24th). I started sending him these snippets a little bit before lunch with 2-hour intervals between each teaser pic. Sample images are seen below:

The hubby was still clueless.
Anyways, off we went.
We finally reached the CCP Complex area… He saw the Jumbo Kingdom Floating Restaurant in front of us and he looked at me with an “aha!” smile! I just shook my head and laughed.
We sat on the bench by the breakwater while waiting for the cruise coordinator.
While seated, I sent him the last teaser pic which ultimately revealed my 3 week-long surprise. 
Afterwards, I finally handed over to him the dinner cruise voucher. He smiled and got all giddy like a child anticipating a huge gift… upon reading the voucher, everything started to make sense to him.
And the dinner stubs…
We were then escorted into the yacht by Sun Cruises personnel and were met by our personal butler. We headed to our romantically decorated table situated on the deck… this was the ONLY table adorned with lovely flowers and whatnots.
Alas, we started to set sail as the golden red sun slowly descended as if signifying the start of our wonderful evening.
A few minutes into our cruise, music was played courtesy of a male and female acoustic duo and dinner was served shortly afterwards. The set meal consisted of the following:
Cream of Vegetable Soup
Combination of Chicken Stew and Pork Casserole with Buttered Corn, Rice and Cheese Cupcake for dessert.
Personally, the food was not that spectacular… not that I expected it to be anyways. It was… OK. Then again, it was the whole dinner cruise experience that mattered and made us both very happy. During dinner, our requested songs were sung by the musical performers. They even announced to everyone that we were celebrating our anniversary prodding everyone in the yacht to greet and congratulate us.
And the anniversary cake!
Traversing Manila Bay for over an hour with music and a romantic dinner was magnificent! The reflection of the lights from SM Mall of Asia was awesome.
Pirmi Travel Services made this celebration hassle-free. Jen, who was my coordinator and personal butler was very helpful and spectacular in her job.
It was an unforgettable night filled with love and memories.

UPDATE!!!
A little more than a year after our very first Manila Bay dinner cruise, my husband and I were informed by Ms. Aileen Ng of Pirmi Travel Services that this wonderful attraction of theirs has been improved – additional delightful upgrades (such as uniformed butlers, tables with your names on it, wine, etc.) have been included in the romantic dinner cruise.
And so… here we are AGAIN! With much eager anticipation we revisited the place and re-experienced this awesome cruise package.
What was already great back then has become way way better now. We got a little woozy during the cruise because the waves were a bit choppy due to the weather, but nevertheless we still had tons of romantic fun (whee!). A must try for everyone especially love birds. Thank you Pirmi Travel for this wonderful treat!

Hi. I contacted sun cruises and tried to schedule a Feb. 18 second sailing schedule. I am so disappointed. After numerous emails and follow-ups I was told today na fully booked na pala since yesterday and I’ve been emailing them since Feb. 9. It was supposed to be a post-valentine date for my husband and me and I have no back-up plan as of the moment. It’s supposed to be a first time for me and my husband on a cruise.
